International oil prices fall on the 2nd
■ Brent closed at U$62.45/bbl, down U$0.72/bbl from the previous day.
■ WTI closed at U$58.64/bbl, down U$0.68/bbl from the previous day.
■ Dubai closed at U$63.75/bbl, down U$0.51/bbl from the previous day.


On the 2nd, international oil prices fell due to progress in discussions between the U.S. and Russia over the end of Russia-Ukraine war and the expectation of expanding Russian oil exports due to Russian President Putin's plan to visit India.

Media reports that Russian President Putin will visit India for two days to seek to expand exports also form expectations that Russia's oil exports to India will remain robust in the future (Reuters).

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkov and U.S. President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner's meeting with Russian President Putin on the 2nd contributed to the drop in oil prices (Reuters) - Citing U.S. diplomatic think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the market is paying attention to the possibility of easing sanctions during discussions on a peace agreement.
